The Chico State women’s basketball team kept their winning streak alive Friday and extended it to six games after a hug win over UC San Diego.
The Wildcats battled the whole game to pull of a rugged victory 55-42.
In the first half, the ‘Cats started off slow, being down 12-2 to turn it around and find a halftime lead 24-20.
In the second half, the Wildcats clamped down on the Tritons and enforced their stingy defense to pull away with a impressive 55-42 win.
Leading the Cat attack was senior forward McKenzie Dalthorp recording 14 points and three rebounds. Senior guard Courtney Hamilton controlled the tempo of the game found open players all evening. Hamilton added eight points 10 assists and seven rebounds.
The Wildcats are now 14-5 on the season and 10-5 in conference play. The ‘Cats next game is Saturday at home against UC San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m.
