The university hosted several activities meant to pay respect to the activist's legacy during the weekend, but many still view the holiday as a reason to party.
At the time of The Orion's birth in the mid-1970s, the journalism industry was transitioning from linotype hot-metal typesetting to phototypesetting to produce printed newspapers. The product that readers see today is produced using the desktop publishing software program Adobe InDesign.
