Chico Performances welcomes the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin to Laxson Auditorium March 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will consist of performances of Mozart’s “Divertimento in D,” Schoenberg’s “Verklaerte Nacht,” and Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden.

The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin was founded in Moscow in 1991 by Misha Rachlevsky, music director for the ensemble.

Rachlevsky, who began studying the violin at age five, is a veteran of the New American Chamber Orchestra and has been active in the field of chamber music for more than 30 years.

The Chamber Orchestra Kremlin is currently in the middle of it’s 22nd concert season.

They have performed more than 1,400 concerts including more than 800 on tours across 24 countries. The orchestra has an extensive repertoire of almost 1,000 musical compositions.

The ensemble is widely recognized and celebrated for their classical prowess. With such a long and successful history, the concert will certainly be a powerful experience and one not to be missed.
