Chico State’s School of the Arts Productions is accepting video submissions for a chance to compete on NBC’s “The Voice.”

SOTA Productions will pick 10 submissions to audition on campus on Friday, May 2.

Of those 10, five students will be chosen to travel to Los Angeles to audition for the producers of “The Voice” on May 7 and 8.

Travel and all other expenses are the responsibility of those wishing to audition, however, there is no fee to submit a video entry.

Submissions may be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line “ATTN: Maegan Webster” until 5 p.m. April 30.

Entries must include name, phone number, email address and major, as well as any previous experience.

The email must also include a video submission of you singing any song you choose, preferably with a link to the video on YouTube.

While there is no guarantee of a spot on the show, if you love to sing, this is a great opportunity to show your skills.

David Kahn can be reached at [email protected] or @thatdavidkahn on Twitter.
