Chico is about to feel the heat of comic greatness when popular comedian Christopher Titus brings his newest one-man comedy show to the El Rey Theatre later this month.

Titus has done six comedy specials, and each one heavily revolves around a central theme. His stand-up consists of breaking out into a full-on rant or a personal confession, as if pouring his heart out to a therapist.

Titus is most well known for his short-lived, self-titled show on NBC, as well as his special, “Norman Rockwell is Bleeding.” The latter is still on repeat in this writer’s iPod.

His latest special will no doubt hit home for audiences. One of the many things that makes this comedian stand out is how relatable his comedy is to his fans. As he rehashes his life through anecdotes and one-liners, everyone can understand where Titus is coming from.

His newest show features not only his usual stand-up, but audiences will get to see and hear his wife, Rachel Bradley, who will be performing as well.

Titus and Bradley will be performing on March 27 at 8 p.m. at the El Rey Theatre. Tickets are being sold online for $25-35 but can also be purchased at the box office on the day of the show.
