Chico City Council approved to sign a letter regarding the Oroville Dam crisis Tuesday.

The letter highlighted many issues that the Butte County region has raised in community meetings, all issues relating to the Oroville Dam crisis.

“We want to get one voice for the region,” said District Coordinator for Jim Nielson’s office Salo Landano.

Every city in the county has signed off on the letter.

“We know the City of Chico had an instrumental role in the evacuation so we came to you guys to join us in this letter to the governor and to the secretary of national resources,” said Landano.

The letter will be sent out May 3.
