Can ‘Madden 18’ predict the Super Bowl winners? Probably
Why listen to sports experts when a computer can do all the work for you? “Madden 18” uses sophisticated technology to accurately simulate the outcome of any NFL match-up.
The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots were pitted against each other in a best of five competition to see who was more likely to win Super Bowl LII on Sunday. It should be noted that these games were all simulated and I had no input on the their outcome. Each quarter was five minutes long.
The Eagles won the first game after an impressive showing of ground offense. The first game was close and was decided by a last second field goal.
Eagles’ running offense won the day once again. Another close game, but the Patriots were unable to stop the Eagles on the ground.
The Eagles win the set after a third win. The final game went into overtime, but the Eagles pulled out the win with a touchdown. Once again, the Eagles’ running offense was the deciding factor.
I honestly wasn’t expecting either team to do a clean sweep like this. It should go without saying that these results should be taken with a grain of salt. If one can take anything from this it’s that they should look out for big plays from the Eagles’ running offense on Sunday.
