Chico Police:
1:47 a.m.: Resisting a police officer at Coldstone Creamery on Broadway St. “Victim in physical fight on the corner. Subject is under the Chase awning, southbound on Broadway. No weapons seen. Trying to start a fight near Wiener Man. Victim and subject walking southbound on Broadway. Subject is with a group of 6 to 7, took his hat off, switched hats. Subject is black male American wearing a gray hat near hot dog stand 6 feet away. Crossing crosswalk at 3rd St eastbound. Victim wants no further action. Officer out with a subject on 3rd and Broadway. Officer is out with a victim. Checkered cab enroute. Victim left, refused medical treatment and is unable to provide identification.”
5:15 p.m.: Suspicious subject on E 7th St. “Male subject who appears very suspicious is going around asking people to read their meters stating he works for PG&E.; Subject is on foot and doesn’t have anything with him confirming he works for PG&E.; Subject is currently at an address across from reporting party. Reporting party’s phone disconnected. Reporting party called back and no longer sees the subject. Reporting party tried to call PG&E; and didn’t get through to an employee. Subject advised of proper door to door sales. Subject will call his boss and be picked up. Subject is with Spark Energy Group.”
6:04 p.m.: Suspicious subject at Liquor Bank on Main St. “Female came into the store and was videotaping the reporting party and other customers and employees. Female refused to leave when reporting party and employees asked her. Stated she was videotaping because staff wouldn’t move a vehicle parked on the sidewalk. Reporting party is very upset that she videotaped and requested the footage deleted as the female left eastbound on E 9th St.”
University Police:
2:54 p.m.: Assault reported at Student Health Center. “Victim was assaulted last night at approximately 11:45 p.m., near the railroad tracks on W Sacramento Ave. At Student Health Center seeking treatment. Left Meriam Library on bike and was assaulted by subjects. Doctor’s appointment scheduled. Subject wished no further action, was provided with resource information. Possible attempted robbery, weapon used was a rock. Victim has left, officer completing a courtesy report.”
3:40 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances at children’s park. “Juvenile hitting tree with a machete in park near church. Chico Police Department called to advise they are responding. Hispanic male American, wearing black hoodie. Subject gone on arrival, unable to be located.”
