Chico City traffic engineers announced a temporary closing of Sowillenno Avenue to the Esplanade starting Monday and ending Friday.

Sowillenno Avenue will be inaccessible from 7:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 while workers complete a phase of the downtown couplet project, an enhancement of bicycle and pedestrian pathways within downtown, according to the City of Chico.

City traffic engineers will post signage at the corner of Mansion and Arcadian and campus access will still be available at the Holt Hall barrier arm, according to a city news release.
