CFA strike postponed following tentative agreement
The California Faculty Association strike has been postponed due to a temporary agreement.
The announcement was stated in a press release sent out by the Chancellor’s office and the CFA. California State University and CFA leaders are holding a news conference call on Friday at 10 a.m. to announce the agreement of a reopened contract.
The proposed strike that was set to start on April 13 will be postponed pending approval and ratification of the agreement. Once ratified by the CFA Board of Directors and other members, it will be voted on by the CSU Board of Trustees at a meeting held in May.
All members involved cannot comment due to the 48-hour media blackout period so that negotiations can continue undisrupted.
