Chico City Council Candidate forum to be held Wednesday
With election season around the corner, a Chico City Council Candidate Forum will take place on Sept. 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Chico Area Recreation District Center.
The event, hosted by the Chico Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Chico Business Association, is free and open to the public. Candidates will speak about their positions on the city’s top priorities and will be given time for opening and closing statements, followed by an audience question and answer session.
“Election season is a special time in any community, requiring citizens to think about and talk about what really matters, and to be a part of deciding the future by voting,” Katie Simmons, President & CEO of the Chico Chamber of Commerce said in a press release.
Attendees are required to RSVP by phone at 530-891-5556 or email at [email protected] due to limited seating.
