More than 1,000 admitted students, along with friends and family toured Chico State, April 8, at Choose Chico.

Choose Chico is held annually in the spring, as an opportunity for students who have been admitted to tour the campus.

Choose Chico has existed since 2009, according to Associate Director of Admissions, Wendy Needels. Needels has overseen Choose Chico! since its inception, 8 years ago.

This year, over 1,500 admitted students attended, compared to 1,100 in 2013, said Needels.

“The most important thing for Choose Chico is that admitted students are able to come here and get the information they need to make their college decision,” said Needels.

This year in particular, Chico State’s admissions office increased the number of Spanish tours and information sessions, along with the new Arts and Humanities building being available for tours and presentations.
