Extra pocket change

Kristina Martinez
Kristina Martinez

On campus jobs not only provide students with convenience, but some change in their pocket as well. Scoring a job on campus has its perks.
One being how flexible the different student positions are about students taking time off for work to focus on school. However, most times the maximum 20 hours that students are offered to work is not enough. Jobs outside of campus tend to not be as flexible as on campus jobs. On campus jobs also help train students to become prepared for the “real world.”
With money always being a huge factor for college students, those who need to work up to 40 hours a week should be able to do so. Changing school policy would not be an easy route to take, but it would be beneficial to Chico State students.
