A vehicle caused a truck to drive through the wall of a local business Sunday.

The incident occurred on West 9th Street at 4:28 p.m., according to Julia Yarbough, press information officer for the Chico Police Department.

A Nissan Pathfinder was suspected of driving into a lane down Orange Street and colliding with a white Dodge Ram truck. The truck was pushed off the road into the side of a nearby business building, Dialed-In Athletics.

No one was injured, according to a press release.

“The wall was trashed… my whole front showroom was destroyed,” said Jordan Brandt, the owner of Dialed-In Athletics.

No sales were affected since almost 95 percent of their sales are over the phone, according to Brandt.

Police have not found evidence of drugs or alcohol influence.
