    Fake bomb issue near Madison Bear Garden

    Chico Police:

    2:12 p.m.: Accident with minor injuries on Esplanade. “Male driver hit juvenile on bike and is now leaving. Driver left northbound on Esplanade from Cohasset Rd. Driver provided juvenile his phone number and left stating he had to go to work. Juvenile struck vehicle. Subject with minor injuries, police department and medics to handle. Juvenile on the bike at fault, minor complain to pain to right leg.”

    6:53 p.m.: Possession of drugs at Transit Center on West 2nd Street. “Male put a small white electronic device down and started saying ‘bomb, bomb, bomb’ as he walked away. Device is on the Madison Bear Garden side. Subject is on the side near the parking structure, appears alone. Subject started talking on his cell phone saying ‘hey, I’m trying to get a hold of you. I put a bomb here.’ Subject got onto bus, bus hasn’t left. Bomb issue unfounded.”

    University Police:

    9:52 a.m.: Disturbance in Esken parking lot. “Three vehicles, one being blocked and one is trying to park, a red small car is honking at yellow vehicle. Units delayed by traffic.”


    1:24 a.m.:
    Suspicious subject in Whitney Hall. “Reporting party advising white male adult trying to get into building. Advising subject last seen west towards bike racks. Unable to locate.”
