Chico State’s position for a permanent chief police is recommended to be appointed to the current interim chief at Chico State.

John M. Reid has been working on campus since Sept. 5 as interim chief police after Chief John Feeney ended his position Aug. 2 and was temporarily replaced by Lt. Corinne Beck.

The Division of Business and Finance said it considers the proven leadership skills of Chief Reid in the California State University System with the intent to transition him directly to the position of chief of police, according to DBF. His anticipated start date at Chico State would be Dec. 27.

Comments on the proposed action are requested to be submitted to the DBF at [email protected] by Dec. 21. Currents employee can review details of a copy on the position by emailing [email protected].
