Chico State students giddied up for the spring season by participating in an activity-filled Sunday on the University Village lawn.
“Willie’s Roundup” was an event intended for university housing residents to have a good time, said Denise Crosswhite, the coordinator of Residential Life Programming at Chico State.
Students had the opportunity to enjoy live music, a rock wall and a raffle-prize drawing along with free food and swimming at the University Village pool.
“It was pretty dope,” said Mark Moniz, a junior computer science major at Chico State. “We watched ‘Broken Bones’ and there was free food.”
This is one of several previous events that have been held at University Village, Crosswhite said.
Around 350 residents came and the event was considered a success, Crosswhite said.
“I think it’s been successful today,” she said. “Everyone’s having a lot of fun.”
The University Village is located north on Nord Avenue.
