Chico State and Butte County are currently experiencing a power outage.
Pacific Gas and Electric sent out an automated phone call stating that 4,929 customers will be experiencing this power outage
They also said the power would be restored by 11 a.m.
Campus will be closed until 5 p.m. according to the Chico State website. An update on classes and work schedules will be sent out at 2 p.m.
The power was restored on campus at around 11:30 a.m. The street lights downtown and some houses in Chico and Butte County are still experiencing the power outage.
