    Sexual abuse suspicions arise for Chico elementary students

    A father called police after his son told him a fellow classmate at Little Chico Creek Elementary School was poking his penis before saying it was OK because her dad lets her do it to him.

    Call Type: Transient Problem, 7:40 p.m., Forest Avenue

    A male and female were around the Walmart entrance and the nearby gas station. They had set up a homeless camp and were drinking in public.

    Call Type: Shoplift, 6:31 p.m., East 20th Street

    An adult female was detained for shoplifting two dress tops at JCPenney

    Two panhandlers were asked to leave the target shopping center two times, and still stayed. Eventually police were called.

    A suspect attempted to steal a vehicle, breaking the window and damaging the steer column in the progress.

    A bike at the Whitney Hall bike racks had the rear tire slashed.

    Call Type: Grand Theft Bike – Greater Than $950, 5:10 p.m., Warner Street

    A $2,500 bike was stolen from Tehama Hall. It had been secured with a cable lock.

    Call Type: Medical Aid, 11:17 a.m. Nord Avenue

    A man at University Village said he used marijuana and began feeling sick. He refused medical attention.
