The first ever hacking convention is taking place in Chico.

NorCon is putting on the event for technology enthusiasts and people who want to pursue a career in that field.

There will be nine speakers, including experts in hacking medical devices, and other areas. There will also be a demonstration on hacking gift cards to show their vulnerability.

The event will be held at 603 Orange St. Tickets are $25 each, the convention runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and a party will follow the closing.
