A Chico State student participated in a conference call with Hillary Clinton on April 21.

Sophomore journalism major Elizabeth Helmer is an intern for the Hillary Clinton support network and writer for The Orion.

Being an avid supporter and donor, Helmer was part of a conference call along with two of Clinton’s campaign workers and fellow donors.

“I want to be involved as I can since this is the first election I can vote in,” Helmer said. “I believe she’s going to be the first female president and hearing her voice overwhelmed me with emotion,”

Helmer said she is excited for the upcoming election and encourages everyone to vote.
