Traffic delays were to be expected Aug. 17 and 18 on East 2nd St. Construction crews began work on reinforcing ground structures for AT&T. The phone company stated this construction to advance their fiber optics within Chico.
MGM construction, a contractor for AT&T, was responsible for the work happening in the downtown area.
“It will bring high speed and fiber optics for businesses,” said Mark Hook, an MGM employe at the construction site.
Butte county currently ranks 2267 in the country for internet access according to the Broad Band National Map.
