The three finalists for the position of provost and vice president of academic affairs will visit Chico State this week.
The finalists are Carlos C. Ayala from Sonoma State, Debra S. Larson from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and S.K. Ramesh from Northridge State.
Each of the finalists will be making campus presentations that are open to the public.
Carlos Ayala: Dec. 12, 3:30pm-5pm in the Zingg Recital Hall
Debra Larson: Dec. 13, 3:45pm-5:15pm in the Zingg Recital Hall
S.K. Ramesh: Dec. 15, 3:30pm-5pm in Colusa 100A
“I am excited about the three names (the search committee) put forth, they’re really highly accomplished,” President Gayle Hutchinson said. “I think they have values that align with our institution, so I think these interviews are going to be exciting. This is an opportunity for us to secure the best for Chico State.”
After the campus visit, President Hutchinson will make the final decision. A provost could be appointed by the beginning of the spring semester, President Hutchinson said.
