A Chico State student reported a sexual assault to the University Police on Sunday, Dec. 11.
An email was sent out to alert students about the incident by University Police Chief John Feeney, in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act.
The sexual assault happened in one of the university housing facilities in the early morning hours, the email said. However, the email does not note which campus housing facility it was. Currently, the suspect’s identity is known and is also believed to be a resident of university housing.
The incident is still under investigation by the University Police Department and Title IX Office.
