The events schedule consisted of a ribbon cutting, Chico Cheer All Stars, a jump house, Pleasant Valley High Marching Band, live characters, and live DJ.

Receiving a four out of five-star review on Facebook, the newly open establishment was praised its free ice cream give away on their first day.

“The snickerdoodle cookies are out of this world and the ice cream is pretty good too! Great for a special treat!” said Sue Peterson, Chico State director of speech and debate, through a review on Facebook.

” I waited an hour and 45 minutes for free ice cream on opening day. Was it worth it? HECK YEAH! They did it right, gave out water, balloons, had a bounce house, and local radio station. When I ordered, I was thanked for my patience. My CREAM sandwich was divine. Welcome to Chico, CREAM!” Robyn Alana Engel, a Chico local, commented on Facebook.
