The Chico State women’s soccer team notched its first road win of the season by beating Dominican University 2-0 Friday afternoon.

Midfielder Megan Tabler scored the game’s only two goals in the 4:56 and 29:55 minute marks in the game.

The Wildcat defense put on a strong performance. Goaltender Brianna Furner had four saves to record her 21st career shutout, moving into sole possession of second place in Chico State history.

Head coach Kim Sutton also won her 187th game at the NCAA Division II level, putting her 31st all-time.

Next up for the Wildcats (3-1-1) is a home game against CSU Stanislaus Sunday at 1 p.m.
