Chico Police are seeking three men who allegedly robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint.

Kirk’s Jewelry, on the corner of Third and Salem streets, was robbed at around 10:49 a.m. Friday morning, according Chico Police Sergeant Scott Zuschin.

There were no customers in the store and an estimated five employees at the time of the robbery, Zuschin said. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Two suspects entered the jewelry store armed, wearing all black with ski-masks, smashed the display cases and took an undisclosed amount of valuable items, Zuschin said.

“The whole incident took no more than a couple minutes to occur,” he said.

The suspects exited the jewelry store, entered a waiting vehicle and fled the scene.

Zuschin said police set up a perimeter ending at 12th and Salem streets but were unsuccessful in apprehending the suspects.

“It appears the vehicle may have been able to escape before we were able to set up the perimeter,” Zuschin said.

The suspects were described as male adults, approximately 6-feet-tall and escaped in a 2003 four-door silver Acura with the license plate number 5DRN905.

“If someone does see that vehicle, we request that they contact the Chico Police department,” Zuschin said.
