Men’s basketball team crushes William Jessup

Chico State’s men’s basketball team extended its winning streak to three games after its thrashing of William Jessup 97-64 at Acker Gym in front of its home crowd Tuesday night.

Robert Duncan lead all scorers will 21 points, shooting 8 for 10 from the field. His teammate Jordan Semple followed with 19 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. It was also a historic night for Semple, as he became the 15th player in Chico State history to accumulate 1,000 points in his career.

Chico State got off to a fast start. Within the first five minutes of the game, the Wildcats were winning 13-4. William Jessup had no answer for the Wildcats all night.

William Jessup went into half with a 24 point deficit. The Wildcats were up 53-29, and things weren’t much different in the second half as Chico State built its lead to 36 at one point.

The guard play for Chico State was exceptional Tuesday as Mike Rosaroso netted 10 points while grabbing seven rebounds. He also dished out five assists.

The Wildcats next game is Friday as they take on Dominican at home at 7:30 p.m.
