In a game that got off to a relatively slow start, Chico State got ahead of the San Francisco State Gators early, winning 67-40 at home on Friday.

This was the ‘Cats’ first win after a tough losing streak of five games.

Sophomore forward, Ashtyn Anderson, achieved career highs in scoring and rebounding with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the game. It was also Anderson’s first career double-double at Chico State.

Senior guard, Hannah Womack, had a solid performance shooting, finishing the game with a 27 point lead.

With the win, Chico State improves to a 5-8 record for the season.
