BassMint, located adjacent to Peking Chinese Restaurant in downtown Chico, was packed with students and locals the first Friday of the spring semester. The owners of the restaurant, which can be found between Mom’s and The Golden 1 Credit Union, have opted to use the space after closing on Fridays for DJs and artists to come in and transform the place. From drum and bass to psychedelic art and face painting, energy and music filled the small underground club.
