A two-week long carnival began Thursday at the Chico mall parking lot next to Logan’s Roadhouse.

The carnival offers a variety of different rides, games, and food.

The event is being put on by Keva-Works, a carnival company from Palm Desert, with the aim of bringing more customers to the Chico mall.

Wristbands for unlimited rides are being sold at $35, and single coupons to ride the carnival rides are being sold for $1.25 each. Keva-Works also sells Family Packs for $50, which come with 60 coupons, and Fun Packs, which come with 30 coupons and costs $30.

“It’s cool that things like this happen in Chico, but it’s honestly a little too expensive for me,” said Jordan Thatcher, a Chico State student that bought a wristband at the carnival. “It’s still a good opportunity for Chico students to do something other than party, though.”

The carnival will last for ten days and come to an end on March 18.
