Listen to something new

I’m walking around campus in a girly dress, curled hair with some cute heels listening to some Avenged Sevenfold.

Didn’t expect that, huh?

Usually people think that it’s the emo-looking kids who listen to that type of music.

Who would have thought that a girl in a dress could listen to metal as well?

I’m positive that I’m probably not the only one.

One doesn’t have to wear certain clothes in order to listen to a certain type of music.

I think that’s the beauty of it. It can connect everyone.

We all have our differences. We wear different clothes and we have different backgrounds, but we share a connection when it comes to music. A connection one wouldn’t think we would have with other people who look so different.

That’s why I’m open to any kind of music. I listen to pretty much anything.

My Pandora can go from a heavy metal song to EDM to The Weeknd.

When someone has a wide range of tastes in music, it creates the chance to connect with someone who listens to that type of music as well.

So try listening to something new today.

Be open-minded. Be adventurous.
