Business services prepares for big move

Chico State’s Business Services Department will be moving on campus for the first time in over 10 years.

The department currently handles services such as shipping & receiving, property management, surplus property, and bus reservations.

This morning Dale Wymore, Director of Business Services, announced they will be relocating to campus and occupying space at the Facilities Management and Services yard located at 940 West 1st Street.

According to an email, the move will, “provide operational efficiencies, space consolidation, and improved access for the campus community.”

Phone extensions and campus zip codes will remain the same. Below is the schedule for the move and closures:

Feb. 25-26: The Property Management Office will be closed

Feb. 29: The Property Management office will reopen

March 4: The Property Surplus Warehouse will reopen.

March 10: Shipping and Receiving will accept deliveries at its current location at 1205 West 7th until this day.

March 11: Shipping and Receiving will be closed to relocate. (There will be no incoming shipments received or outbound shipping)

March 11: Bus Reservations will be closed

March 14: Shipping and Receiving will consume.
