Contractors have estimated that repairs to the Student Health Center will cost at least $63,000 following a flood last week.
On Nov. 11, a broken toilet valve in a first floor unisex bathroom flooded surrounding areas overnight, including the center’s X-ray room and records office, as previously reported by the Orion.
Belfor, the contracted firm, estimated that the cost of repairs and reconstruction could range from $63,000 to $87,000, Wills said.
The price includes the restoration of drywall, flooring, paint, wallpaper, interior trim, plumbing, electrical and carpeting in the affected areas, Wills said.
Repairs are estimated to be completed by Dec. 11, Wills said.
