    Drunk driver crashes into house on Sierra Vista Way

    Chico Police:

    10:40 a.m.: Runaway reported at Forest Park Apartments on Rio Lindo Avenue. “Reporting party has legal guardianship of her two grandkids. Kids have runaway and reporting party suspects the biological mother made arrangements to pick them up in Chico and take them to Santa Rosa.”

    2:45 p.m.: Subject with a knife on Pomona Ave. “Reporting party says subject broke the lock to his garage, female has an open knife in her possession and is inside the garage. Subject held the knife to reporting party as if she was going to stab him with it. Reporting party states subject sneaks into the garage in the middle of the night to sleep as she is homeless. Officer has one detained. Reporting party is the main problem, he allows subjects to stay on the property.”

    10:57 p.m.: Driving under the influence crash on Sierra Vista Way. “A black Saab crashed into a house. Subject is trying to back the car out and leave. Vehicle has extensive damage. The two occupants do not appear to be injured. Friends of the subject just arrived, reporting party believes to pick up the occupants. Home owners request vehicle to be towed.”

    University Police:

    7:04 a.m.: Disturbance on Warner. “Subject running and yelling, waking up students in Whitney. White male adult, light blue hair, running with another group.”

    7:17 a.m.: Transient problem at Selvesters. “Report of a male sleeping by creek adjacent to Sylvesters. Officer out with two subjects. Both UC Berkley students who were unable to locate a place to sleep last night.”

    2:19 p.m.: Petty theft in Physical Sciences Building. “IPhone 5, white with gray case. Occurred just now, office was left unlocked when reporting party went to the restroom. Tracking location to Cinder Cone loop. Unable to locate in vicinity, static. Sim card apparently taken out, no longer tracking.”
