The Wildcats got its revenge Friday against the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros with a first round 90-70 tournament victory.

After being knocked out by the Toros in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament last week, the ’Cats were able to bounce back in the NCAA Championship Tournament.

In the first half, both teams battled and traded baskets as the ‘Cats found themselves down 32-31 at halftime.

In the second half, the Wildcats exploded offensively and clamped down defensively outscoring the Toros 59-38 in the second half. With the big spirt, the ‘Cats clawed their way to the next round winning 90-70.

Leading the Cat attack was junior guard Hannah Womack bringing energy off the bench with 18 points. Senior guard Jazmine Miller added 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Wildcats will face Cal Poly Pomona Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinal round.
