    Chico Police:

    9:22 a.m.: Suspicious subject at Tri Counties Bank on Salem Street. “Male and female subject in and out of the bank, male subject has a backpack. Subject approaching tellers asking about ‘accounts.’ Reporting party thinks they are under the influence, were not making sense. Officer out with subjects, male detained.”

    12:38 p.m.: Petty theft at North Valley Eye Care on Mission Ranch Boulevard. “Reporting party advising female entered business, was seen placing object in her pocket while placing a pair of sunglasses out. Business is missing one pair of $250 Ray Bans. Business is handling civilly.”

    2:00 p.m.: Subject disturbance at The Pour House on East Avenue. “Subject yelling at customers, walking towards Panda Express carrying a fishing pole. Yelling something about rat poison falling from the sky. Officer unable to locate subject, being his ‘normal’ self. No further action.”

    University Police:

    10:46 a.m.: Bike recovered near Main Street. “Report of 2 bikes, one intact and one broken in the weeds. Bikes brought in as found, G18 Speed.”

    11:00 a.m.: Suspicious subject in Merriam Library second floor restroom. “Older male subject sleeping on the floor between the women’s and men’s restrooms. Subject moved along.”

    11:28 a.m.: Trespass on La Vista Apartments on West Second Avenue. “Looks like an entry to garage was forced open. Housing en route with key. Interior checked in, evidence of prior use inside the garage. University Housing staff at scene.”
