Downtown parking to be free every Friday through Christmas

Downtown parking will be free for the first two hours of every Friday beginning on Black Friday through Christmas.
Three Fridays are left for free parking downtown:
- Dec. 4
- Dec. 11
- Dec. 18
The city hopes this will encourage people to do more shopping downtown.
“I think it’s a great incentive to get more people to shop downtown,” said Matt Henery, first-year business administrative major.
The city noted other parking codes will still be enforced.
