Stonewall Alliance Center presented the 26th annual Chico Pride Festival on Saturday with the theme “Let’s Go Together.” About 100 vendors from different businesses, cultures and religions crowded together at Chico City Plaza downtown. The event featured live music, performances and guest speakers.

“Chico Pride is about celebrating the LGBTQ+ community,” said Tami Ritter, the Chico City Councilor. “It’s about promoting inclusivity, tolerance, diversity and acceptance in our community.”

Members of Chico City Council were present, as well as other vendors including Ampla Health, CSU Chico and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The Chico Police Department participated as a vendor at Chico Pride for the first time. Due to the Orlando shooting earlier this year, Chico PD also provided a sense of safety at the festival.
