A student was carted off on a stretcher after being stuck in an elevator with eleven other students at the student services center Wednesday around 3:15 p.m.
Danielle Gervais, one of the students on the elevator, said it started bouncing excessively right before it got stuck.
“Everyone got freaked out and we started pushing buttons but nothing worked.” she said.
Another student, Sara Coates, said they in the elevator for about an hour.
“Toward the middle of the 60 minutes a girl starting clenching up and having a panic attack,” she said.
It took firefighters almost 20 minutes to the door open and get everyone out.
