Ponderosa Fire victims can receive assistance at the Fire Assistance Center.

The fire started August 29 by Ponderosa Way and it has destroyed 32 homes and 22 other buildings.

A local Assistance Center has now opened its comfort to the victims of the fire.

The FAC will offer residents whose homes were damaged or destroyed in the Ponderosa Fire resources that are necessary to recover and rebuild.

Residents can learn more about the damage done to their home, and how to rebuild from here. The FAC is also available for those affected who want to learn how to get their property assessed for proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials as well as to get help with the process of rebuilding.

County staff is also willing to meet one-on-one with residents who lost their homes or structures to walk them through the steps for rebuilding.

The Assistance center for Ponderosa Fire victims is located at Feather Falls Grange, 1834 Lumpkin Rd., Feather Falls.

The FAC is located at 7 County Center Dr., Oroville, inside the Department of Development Services.

The North Valley Community Foundation is taking donations to help rebuild the community affected by the fire.
