A lightning storm in Seattle caused a no-contest between Chico State men’s soccer team and Seattle Pacific University.
It seemed as if the wildcats had control of the game early out-shooting Seattle Pacific the whole time, but could never find the back of the net.
Eventually, Seattle scored and held off the offensive push of Chico State.
Despite the eight shots that the Wildcats put on goal, they weren’t able to score and the game was suspended due to lightning shortly after.
Over two and a half hours of waiting through the weather delay, the game was eventually ruled a no contest, due to NCAA rules.
The Wildcats next game is Thursday at 7 p.m. They will be taking on Concordia Oregon in their first conference home game.
