With the 2022 fall semester in full swing, the Wildcat Recreation Center has seen an increase in students looking to get active and involved in intramural sports.

With the first season of intramurals coming up, spots are quickly filling up. Season A consists of badminton, flag football, tennis and volleyball.

Flag Football is the first sport to start up with registration closing Sept. 8, at 11:59 p.m. There are  four options to choose from. Wildcats can sign up as part of a fraternity, sorority, as a regular or by playing on Thursday evening.

Five more spots are available for regular games, which are held every Tuesday with four different time slots beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

There is only one more spot available for Thursday games, which are played at 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.

Five spots are open for the sorority division and they will begin playing every Friday with time slots from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Lastly, two spots are still open for fraternities. Games will happen every Friday with time slots from 3 p.m. through 7 p.m.

Each team entry costs $30.

As for tennis, all spots are filled but both individuals and teams can still sign up with the hope to be waitlisted and picked up.

Volleyball registration is open until Sept. 8, at 11:59 p.m. with three teams still available. Games are played every Wednesday at 6 p.m through 9 p.m. Team sign-ups are $15.

The latest registration event is the badminton tournament, where students can sign up for free until Sept. 29. With three spots remaining, students can still sign up for the special event.

Season B kicks off with indoor and outdoor soccer.

Indoor soccer registration is open until Oct. 13, and still has four spots open for its Tuesday games, with start times from 6 p.m. through 9 p.m.

Outdoor soccer has matches at the same times as indoor soccer, and registration closes the same day, but instead games will be held on Thursdays with four spots left.

Indoor soccer costs $30 per team entry with outdoor costing $20.

Volleyball rounds out Season B with games on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. through 9 p.m., with registration closing on Oct. 13. Four spots still remain.

The last fall season for intramurals is Season C, which has volleyball, 3v3 basketball, dodgeball and floor hockey. Registration for all sports closes on Oct. 27, at 11:59 p.m.

Volleyball is on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and has six team spots available for $15 per team.

3v3 Basketball has 13 open spots left and costs $15 per team. Games are held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. through 9:30 p.m.

Dodgeball games will be hosted every Tuesday between 6 p.m and 9:30 p.m. Team entry costs $20 dollars and only eight team slots remain.

Floor hockey teams will have games every Wednesday with time frames ranging from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.

Each team entry is $15 but those interested need to act fast, because there are only three more spots available.

Be sure to sign up for intramurals whether it’s with a group of friends or by yourself. It’s a good way to meet new people, have fun and enjoy the sports you love
