CSU charity grants increase 36 percent

The California State University system has seen an increase in the amount of money donations from parents and alumni in the 2013-14 fiscal school year. The system's endowment is currently worth an estimated $1 billion, according to the CSU chancellor's office.

Student dies after 2-year cancer battle

A freshman student died on Oct. 29 after battling cancer for two years. Savana Bowers, 18, raised money at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life to help pay for her medical costs. She planned on majoring in animal science.

59 arrests made over Halloween weekend

15 Chico State students were arrested between Friday and Saturday, mostly for public intoxication. Chico Police also responded to 27 medical aids for alcohol overdoses.
